Assistant Professor Wu Yuan-Wei Officially Joins the Faculty of the Department of Traffic Science on August 1, 2024

Assistant Professor Wu Yuan-Wei, an alumnus of the 72nd class of our undergraduate program, obtained his master’s degree from our Graduate Institute of Traffic Management in 2013 and later earned his Ph.D. from the Transportation Division of the Civil Engineering Department at National Taiwan University. He has held various positions in traffic police departments, including the Traffic Police Brigade of the Taipei City Police Department and the Traffic Police Brigade of the Taoyuan City Police Department. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and in our department, bringing extensive practical and teaching experience in traffic policing.
Professor Wu’s research expertise includes traffic police practices, road traffic regulations, transportation engineering, traffic accident investigation and analysis, traffic safety analysis, and the application of artificial intelligence and data science.
His professional knowledge and practical experience will continue to drive innovation in traffic policing, enhance the capacity for academic research in traffic science, and contribute to the advancement of academic research and traffic police education in our department.
